From Detroit, Michigan —>Interlochen —>NYC!

The Dancer

I left the cozy suburbs of Detroit to pursue my dreams at fourteen to attend the world renowned arts boarding school, Interlochen Arts Academy., a budding artist’s dream in the middle of the northern Michigan woods where I began my serious dance training. My dedication led to classical principal roles such as Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty and Cowgirl in Agnes De Mille’s Rodeo. Yet I found myself equally drawn to work that pushed stylistic boundaries, from a Motown swing piece to an animalistic contemporary work by Christopher Williams that toured to Lincoln Center. Additionally, I was selected to participate in exchanges with DanceWorks Chicago and perform in a music video for the Academy Award nominee band, Son Lux.

Moving to New York City expanded both my artistry and perspective. I attended the Ailey/Fordham BFA in dance Program and received dual degrees in Dance and International Political Economy with a concentration in Italian. Contemporary training with Adam Barruch, Brice Mousset, and Janice Rosario, alongside jazz studies with Holly Wright and Breton Tyner-Bryan, deeply informed my movement voice. There I performed works by Manuelle Vignoulle, Early Mosley, Becky Brown, and Anna Sokolow .

Since graduating, I have performed with Bloodline Dance Theatre, Phoenix Dance Theater, Borne Dance Company,

and Reza Farkhondeh Performance Art Projects. I have appeared in the Dance Benefit Against Cancer performing works by Connie Shiau, Chalvar Monteiro, and Patrick Coker. I have choreographed and performed solo works at venues such as Spoke The Hub, Arts on Site, and Gibney Dance and I perform nationally with my company, Forza Dance, at venues including Brooklyn Arts Haus, Dance Parade, Bridge for Dance, and at the Luminaria Arts Festival in SA, Texas.

An Actors’ Equity Association member, I am eager to continue expanding into theater and interdisciplinary performance. My versatile movement style continues to shape a multifaceted career rooted in curiosity, commitment, and bold storytelling.
